It
must be noted that all Airlines require you to re-confirm all flights
apart from your ex-U. K flight and you will need to reconfirm all
other flights in their country of origin. When onboard any flight
you should be able to find a list of local office contact details
for your next destination within the in-flight magazine. It is important
that you do reconfirm as airlines are subject to schedule changes
and it is the only way to bring them to your attention. Please
remember that any changes you need to make to your flights (if allowed/if
they are flexible tickets) must be done with the airline, as travel
agencies are not allowed to alter the details once you have left
the U.K. In many cases your ticket may not be changeable as advised
on your booking confirmation.
Regarding any insurance claims, you need to contact
the insurers directly. If you have taken insurance with ourselves
then you will need to contact GLOBE SHIELD Travel Insurance
Protection directly on Telephone: ++44 (0) 208961 8488
or by Fax on: +44 (0) 208 466 918566.
If you have taken your insurance with another company you will need
to follow their own guidelines and claims conditions.
In general anything that you are going to have to
claim for you should keep receipts etc for and any police reports
or hotel reports should be kept and sent with your claim form. Any
receipts for medical goods purchased or new goods required due to
stolen/lost baggage should also be kept, as they will assist you
with your claim.
In most cases it is more practical and more efficient
to make a claim for lost/stolen goods once you have returned to
your country of departure. Once again you should do this by contacting
your insurers directly-see above
